somehow almost a year has passed..

I have no idea how that happened! Well, I do, the shop has been busy and become more established and we hit our one year anniversary on November 19th 2023! Its been an experience, I am getting to grips with social media and marketing. Every single day we meet wonderful people who come in for a browse and give us compliments and encouragement. Christmas was not as busy as we expected but every single trader around us said the same so we keep going and keep planning for the year ahead.

Jessie joined the shop in December and we sadly waved goodbye to Anya. We have lots of new micro makers in store, the ethos of Rare Thing is to support the tiny independents and creatives and to give our customers choice of beautiful things that they may not have come across before.

i am concentrating on gold this year, with beautiful stones such as morganite and tourmaline. There will be plenty of granulation and dainty necklaces with pearls and diamonds. I have started on 52 projects for the year, project 1 is complete (pictured) a stunning solid gold granulated halo ring. Project 2 will be a sapphire and gold granulated ring.

Its been a pleasure having the shop open for a year now, the workshops are really taking off. We have such a fun time and its so satisfying seeing people that have never done anything similar gazing at a gorgeous silver ring that they have created.
